Friaphon drainage pipework hits the right note at the opera

The Friaphon sound-attenuated drainage systems from Durapipe has been specified for a private opera house in the back garden of Martin Graham, who owns Longborough Festival Opera. A former barn in his garden in the Cotswolds has been converted into a 480-seat theatre which hosts 20 opera performances every summer. Friaphon was specified to minimise noise from the building’s drainage systems to ensure the only thing opera enthusiasts hear is the performance. The dual-layer technology of Friaphon pipework provides superb sound insulation without the need for lagging, saving time and money on site. This pipe is also light and easy to assemble. Martin Graham says, ‘The last thing people want to hear in a theatre is noise from the drainage systems.
