An RF receiver is mounted near the appliance, and the programmer is installed on a wall somewhere more convenient — such as outside an en-suite. There are four programmable time periods per day, and these can be different for each of seven days. There is also a 30-minute boost button.
The programmer is IPX4 rated as splash proof and is therefore safe for use in wet areas such as bathrooms.
