Legrand steers contractor towards BMW deal

Efficiency and aesthetics — Dimplex ARC air curtains have been installed in the Healthy Living Centre in Staveley, Derbyshire.
Attendance a one of Legrand’s free national training courses recently has led to Matt Worton of MJW Electrical specifying and installing the company’s range of products for the first time. The project was a £3 million showroom for BMW in Swansea. The project for the Trainer dealership is a 2-storey new-build project with a high-tech showroom and office facilities. The Legrand solution comprised cable tray, cable trunking, SWCT, DLP, floor boxes, a wide selection of Synergy wiring accessories (including grid and metal-clad options), 3-phase distribution boards, Plexo 66 waterproof sockets, Hypra combined units, custom-made panel boards and Ortronics data networks. Only the lighting was not supplied by Legrand. Matt Worton says, ‘I came away from Legrand’s training day not only impressed by the sheer scale of its product range but confident that it would make perfect sense to deal with one company for every aspect of the electrical fit-out.’ Legrand’s area sales manager Anthony Smith says, ‘What many people do not realise is that we, and our group companies, offer accessories and solutions for every aspect of an electrical network from the high-voltage ring-main unit down, so specifiers have to deal with only one supplier for virtually every aspect of an electrical installation.’ Many of Legrand’s training courses are CPD approved and cover a broad range of topics across all its key product areas — cable management, door entry, 3-phase power distribution and Synergy wiring accessories.
