Pump House’s guide to the disposal of condensate from domestic boilers highlights the damage to property caused by poor installation and inappropriate disposal. Acid condensate, dissolves lime-base mortar and erodes brickwork and footings. There will also be long-term effects on water tables if untreated condensate flows into the rainwater system. The company makes Little Giant boiler condensate pumps. Business-development manager Paul Greengrass says, ‘Following three years of handling technical queries and support for our condensate-pump installations in the UK, we decided to document and collate common questions into an industry guide.’
