Potterton Commercial launches ground-source heat-pump package

Potterton Commercial’s GeoFlo ground-source heat pump for commercial applications draws heat from the ground at a depth of 1 to 2 m where the temperature is fairly steady at around 10 to 12°C. Upgraded heat is supplied at a higher temperate to water using a plate heat exchanger. The heat can be used for space heating or preheating cold water. The output of GeoFlo heat pumps is 21.3 kW with a COP of 4.7. Operating noise is just 33 dB(A) at 1 m. Several units can be installed in cascade formation. These heat pumps can be supplied with Potterton Paramount Two and Eurocondense Two condensing boilers.
