Glow-worm cylinders take direct mains-water supply

Stainless-steel cylinders from Glow-worm operate directly from mains water and can be used with any manufacturers’ boilers

Glow-worm has introduced a range of single-coil hot-water cylinders that operate directly from mains water, so they do not need a feed from a cold-water storage tank. There are six cylinders with capacities from 115 to 300 l, and they can work with any boiler in open-vented and sealed systems.

These cylinders are made from high-grade stainless steel with laser-welded seams and have a 25 year guarantee against perforation of the steel shell.

The insulation has a heat loss of 70W, and the coil can reheat the cylinder in as little as 20 min. The cylinders are provided with a back-up 3 kW electric immersion heater, including thermostat and energy cut-out.

Glow-worm also supplies twin-coil cylinders in its Clearly Solar range. They have capacities of 200, 250 and 300 l.
