Hoval introduces 1 MW condensing boiler

Hoval, condensing boiler
Hoval UltraGas boilers are now available with outputs from 50 kW to 1 MW.

Hoval has extended its range of UltraGas condensing gas-fired boiler to 1 MW, so a single UltraGas boiler can cover outputs from 50 kW to 1 MW. Twin UltraGas units offer outputs from 250 kW to 2 MW, complete with common flue and optional pipework/header kits.

UltraGas boilers have modulating pre-mix down-firing burners with a 6:1 turndown ratio (12:1 on twin units) and a stainless-steel combustion chamber with a single-pass aluFer tube heat exchanger. The aluFer tubes are made of stainless steel with an aluminium-alloy finned internal surface to provide a large surface area for heat exchange.

Independent testing to DIN EN 676 gives average NOx emissions of less than 40 mg/kWh, which achieves the maximum BREEAM rating of three points for NOx emissions. Net efficiencies of up to 109.5% are achieved, with CO levels of 10 mg/kWh.

All boilers have a rear connection for ducted fresh air for room-sealed applications. There are two return connections for high- and low-temperature circuits.

Control by a 0 to 10 V signal enables a BMS to control the firing rate or the operating temperature. Optional TopTronic controllers can be provided for enhanced control, including sequencing for modular installations.
