Press fittings for plastics pipe in Imperial sizes
Polypipe has added press-fit fittings to its range of plastic plumbing and heating systems. The Polysure range is said to be the first on the UK market available in UK Imperial sizes. They can be used with grey Polyplumb and white Polyfit polybutylene pipes.
Helping to ensure effective joints are a visual pipe socket depth indicator and a double-O-ring seal. The chamfered Polyplumb or Polyfit pipe is inserted into the Polysure fitting and pushed in until the pipe can been seen through the hole in the stainless-steel pressing sleeve — when the joint is ready for pressing.
