Energy-efficient humidification in ductwork

Hygromatik, humidification, air handling unit

HygroMatik describes its VortexSteam humidification system as energy saving and hygienic, with short absorption distances making it ideal for installing in all duct sizes. The VortexSteam module creates turbulence in the airflow to shorten the absorption distance without increasing condensation and without loss of energy.

For flow velocities from 2.3 m/s, VortexSteam can more than halve the absorption distance when placed in front of the steam manifolds. They are light and modular and can readily be retrofitted.

Using multiple steam manifolds to shorten absorption distances can often increase energy costs as large amounts of steam cool down in the manifolds and are lost as condensate. VortexSteam minimises steam loss.
