Xylem introduces large circulating pumps for commercial applications

Xylem, pump

Xylem Water Solutions UK has extended its range of circulator pumps for light or commercial applications with the Ecocirc XL range. These circulators have been designed for applications such as heating, domestic hot water, cooling, solar and ground-source heat pumps.

The smaller 100 W models come as single-head pumps for heating in light-commercial applications. They have a spherical motor design and port-to-port length of 180 mm.

The larger models for commercial applications have a canned-motor design. There are models from DN32 to DN100. Twin-head models from DN32 to DN80 have port-to-port lengths of 220 to 360 mm. For DHW, single-head threaded and flanged connections are available in bronze.

Control options include constant pressure, proportional pressure or constant curve. The automatic setback function ensures that the circulator will only increase its performance when there is a demand.

Ecocirc XL comes in three model ranges, including 18 single-head spherical or canned-motor design, eight twin-head cast iron and 10 single-head in bronze for DHW.

They have a digital interface to keep the user informed of the pump performance — such as operating or fault mode, flow control and set point. An optional w-fi module gives access to additional settings.

For installation with a BMS, the range is available with BACnet or Modbus capabilities built in.
