Energy-efficient hot water and heating is provided for this care home by Mikrofill equipment.

When the heating and hot-water services at St Ceciliaís Care Home in Bromley needed replacing, it was Mikrofillís British designed and built equipment that was selected to replace the existing boilers and calorifiers. The home is run by the Leonard Cheshire Disability organisation, which aims to change attitudes towards disability and to serve disabled people around the world.

Hilton Building Services of Nottingham installed an Ethos 70 kW stainless-steel condensing boiler along with a Rapide Extreme 500 hot-water-loading system. This combination gives the care home and its 30 residents a continuous flow rate of 1200 l/h and efficiencies of up to 94% as a result of the continuous-loading system which keeps the boiler in condensing mode throughout hot-water production.
