Trane’s HFR/HFH ranges of fan-coil units for office and hotel applications offer performances that have been accurately determined through independent laboratory tests.

Trane has developed a range of fan-coil units specifically adapted for the requirements of the British market. They are aimed at office and hotel applications.

The HFR range has factory-installed options for plug-and-play installation, and all components are selected to give excellent reliability without affecting performance. For example, the life of the motor is at least 40 000 h. All units (final unit and each sub-assembly) go through strict tests and procedures at the factory. Performances have been accurately determined through independent laboratory tests.

HFR units have a variable number of spigots with variable diameters (150, 200 and 250 mm), five combinations of fresh-air inlet and several airflow-rate alternatives. Control options include thermostat, LonTalk ZN or Trend.

For servicing, key components are accessible from below via quick-release access panels.

The HFH range is exceptionally thin (217 mm deep) and specifically designed for hotel rooms to fit into the smallest corridor false ceiling. It is fully wired and factory tested, so that installation requires only connecting to water, electricity and the wall thermostat. The filter can be removed without needing any tools. The specially designed air duct and discharge air grille delivers comfortable and quiet air distribution. There are three levels of factory-installed control ranges.
