Hurleypalmerflatt to develop energy centre for Aberdeen project

Hurleypalmerflatt, energy centre, biogas, anaerobic

Hurleypalmerflatt has been appointed by Henry Boot Development to develop the energy centre for the Aberdeen Exhibition Conference Centre (AECC). It will be a biogas ecosystem of technologies.

David Telford, client services director with hurleypalmerflatt, said, ‘We are proud of our work to develop the energy centre, which will support this very high profile major UK development.

‘We have been involved since the early stages of this project as engineers advising on the energy strategy for the original master plan and were subsequently retained to develop the concept for the new energy centre.

‘Our approach will assemble a biogas “ecosystem” of technologies, including an anaerobic-digestion plant, which will provide a sustainable low-carbon solution for the operation of the AECC.’
