Major contracts signal good year for Scottish contractor
Published: March 2006
Among over £30 million-worth of new contracts marking a successful start to 2006 for Robertson Construction in Scotland is a new £6.5 million preparatory school for Glasgow Academy (pictured). The company has also begun work on the £19 million mental-health facility at Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow. West Lothian Council has appointed Robertson to build the new £6.5 million Simpson Primary School, the first school in Scotland to be built under Section 75 of the Town & Country Planning (Scotland) Act. Bill Robertson, executive chairman for Robertson Group, says, ‘We have a good geographical spread of work now and are active across many sectors. Increasingly, our work is being secured through negotiation with clients.’ |
