Pumps at Blackpool hospital designed for fast maintenance
Published: July 2006
Pumps with extremely low maintenance requirements will bring valuable benefits for the new heart-and-lung unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. The 4300 Series in-line pumps from Armstrong Holden Brooke Pullen make it possible for routine maintenance on critical HVAC systems to be carried out in minutes instead of hours. The key feature making this possible is the external sealing arrangement which contributes to the long life of the seal and makes routine maintenance far quicker and easier. The seal has a split coupling that enables all seal components to be withdrawn for servicing without the need to disturb other pump components or the motor connection. The main body of the pump does not need to be moved, so the job can be carried out by a single engineer. Related articles: |
