School hall converts to radiant ceiling panels for heating
Published:  December 2006

SPC has supplied specially made radiant heating panels for installing in the suspended ceiling of a primary school in Bolton. Four Thermatile Plus panels were supplied to Moorgate Primary School as part of a revamp of its heating and electrical services. The powder-coated panels have been installed in the ceiling of the hall and are virtually unnoticeable.

Heating in the hall was previously provided by fan-convectors, but the project consultant chose to replace them with radiant panels to free up wall and floor space.

Thermatile Plus panels have a linear-strip system for joining them, so they can be fitted by nearly anyone. Their composite aluminium sheet structure provides a rigid, flat panel that can be made to any size, shape and colour. These tiles can be suspended just below a ceiling if required.
