Grundfos pumps help minimise energy demand for University of Ulster

To maximise energy efficiency, only variable-speed pumps have been installed in the refurbishment of the Warwick Building on the Belfast Campus of the University of Ulster. All the pumps are from Grundfos's TPE range of electronically controlled single-stage centrifugal pumps. They all have EFF1 motors as standard, minimising energy consumption, even at part load. This project is part of a £30 million redevelopment programme on the campus, which will develop it into a significant landmark in the city’s up-and-coming Cathedral Quarter. Grundfos also provided two pressurisation units and a Hydro 2000 booster set to ensure there is sufficient water available to meet demand. Consultants are Building Design Partnership of Belfast.
