Honeywell acquires Ex-Or

Published:  05 August, 2007

Honeywell has moved into lighting control with the acquisition of Ex-Or. The company develops, manufactures and distributes intelligent, energy-saving lighting controls and will become part of Honeywell’s business unit for environmental controls and combustion. Ex-Or will retain its brand and continue to trade as Ex-Or.

Neil Jones, managing director of Ex-Or says, ‘With Honeywell’s backing, Ex-Or will flourish. Honeywell is committed to accelerating growth and extending our global reach. We will be able to dramatically expand and enhance our offerings to better serve our existing and new customers.’

Andreas Kramvis, Honeywell ECC president, comments, ‘By joining forces with Ex-Or, Honeywell gains a competence in lighting controls to better serve both Ex-Or and Honeywell customers.

Ex-Or’s product range includes managed lighting systems that combine energy efficiency with presence detection and is used extensively in the public and private sector, saving organisations millions of pounds each year by reducing energy bills.
