Recessed air curtains designed for ease of installation
Published:  June 2008

CAB recessed air curtains from Dimplex have a number of features to make installation quick and easy.

Dimplex’s range of recessed CAB air curtains have a number of features to make installation quick and easy.

To allow for straightforward fitting before installation of the suspended ceiling, the recessed CAB range comes with 185 mm extension brackets, and the grille height can be precisely adjusted to match the ceiling height afterwards. These air curtains can be installed using drop-rod inserts or by using drop-rod side mounts that enable the air curtain to be secured to the rods from below.

The longest unit in the range is 2 m long, but supplied as two 1 m lengths while still requiring only a single electrical connection for the whole length. A quick-connect system uses Cat5 connections to link multiple units to further simplify installation.

The standard controller gives full heat output (depending on model) and fan-speed control. CAB air curtains also have a full BEMS interface to give maximum control, including timed automatic switchdown for optimum energy savings when used with a door sensor.
