Nine times faster installation for panelboards

Eaton Electric, panelboards, panel boards

Eaton Electric has created a video showing how its new Memshield 3 MCCB panelboards are up to nine times faster to install, thanks to their easy-to-fit plug-and-play metering facilities. It can be viewed on Eaton’s YouTube channel (URL below).

Instead of having to make up to 42 individual connections to wire an energy meter, a task that typically takes around 90 minutes and is error prone because of the large number of connections, the new panelboard requires only a few simple plug-in connections, so a meter can be easily wired in less than 10 minutes.

These panelboards can be supplied in versions to accommodate incoming devices rated at up to 800 A and outgoing devices from 16 to 400 A. They are available with six and 12 outgoing ways in all ratings, with selected ratings also available in 18-way versions. At the low-current end of the range, 250 A incomer boards are also offered in 4- and 8-way versions.
