Touchscreen fire display shows maps and plans

Advanced, fire, Touchscreen, fire alarm

Fire-systems business Advanced has launched TouchControl, a touchscreen fire-system repeater and remote-control terminal with zone plans called Active Maps. This 25 cm touchscreen delivers comprehensive panel and network control and monitoring.

Active Maps enables images from technical drawings, zone plan, photograph or a Google Map image to be used to display information. Multiple views are available to enable users to interrogate the status of zones in a site from different angles or scales. Advanced’s Map App software enables map images to be added and associated with a zone.

When not used in Active Map view, TouchControl’s colour-coded interface clearly displays device, zone and network information to facilitate easy control and interrogation.

Designed to be recessed and flush fitting, TouchControl can be used in areas such as receptions and nurses’ stations to provide network control or simply communicated detailed communication.

TouchControl can be used in public areas for presentations, company introductions, visitor boards and safety information. As soon as the screen is touched or a fire condition arises, the screen reverts to fire operations.
