Providing both heating and cooling is this 3.5 kW R410A ceiling cassette from LG Electronics.

A 3.5 kW air-conditioning cassette running on R410A refrigerant and providing both heating and cooling has been added to the range of LG Electronics.

Features include the Plasma air-purifying system, anti-corrosion gold fin for long working life, turbo fan for fast cooling, easy-to-clean filter, auto-start and changeover. The unit complements 10 others in the cassette range.

The 4-way grille gives optimum distribution of cool, clean air.

Their compact and light design aids installation. For example, one model is just 570 mm square, smaller than a standard ceiling tile, so that only one tile need be removed during installation, and it is just 269 mm deep.

Refrigerant piping can be up to 50 m long, and a built-in condensate pump has a lift of 700 mm.

In commercial applications, the standard controller allows one to 16 cassettes to be individually or collectively controlled. Controllers can be linked in series to control a large number of units throughout an entire office block if required. A central controller is available for use with up to 128 cassette units.

Other features to increase comfort and convenience include the fan speed being controllable according to ceiling height to increase or decrease air throw.

A switching-mode power supply gives virtually zero power consumption when the unit is switched off.

These cassettes are designed for the European market and have features such as a low ambient speed controller as standard.
