Heating system harmonises with concert-hall refurbishment
Published: July 2004
Engineered skid-mounted plant was selected as the most effective and reliable means of providing hot water for the space-heating requirement of a refurbished concert hall at the University of Leeds. The Clothworkers’ Centenary Concert Hall is due to open later this year in time for the university’s centenary. The Spirax Sarco EasiHeat system comprises a steam plate heat exchanger with all the necessary steam-conditioning, control and condensate-recovery equipment. The specification and design time for the EasiHeat was considerably less than that needed for a conventional shell-and-tube heating system. Installation merely requires the complete package to be hooked up to the site’s services and commissioned. The whole package is factory tested and guaranteed to work as specified. Major renovation of the concert hall will increase audience capacity, provide more comfortable seating, a better view of the stage and improved acoustics. 12 new rehearsal rooms have been built in the basement. enquiries@spiraxsarco.com Related articles: |
