Joint managing director Geoff Lee said, ‘The switch to the simple “Lindab” branding was always part of the plan, but events have moved faster than we expected. We allowed two years for our UK customer base to become familiar with the new setup to reassure themselves that products and service would remain at the same high-quality level.
‘In fact, the transition has gone so smoothly, with so many familiar faces at branch level to maintain continuity, that customer awareness and approval has developed quicker than we dared to hope. They appreciate that we can now offer an even better service, so we can raise the Lindab flag a whole 12 months ahead of schedule.’
Geoff Lee will retire as joint managing director at Christmas, as will his CCL colleague David Barker, although he will remain on the board.
Taking their place as joint managing directors will be Iain Robertson and Mike Goodspeed. They are currently regional directors and long-term members of the management team.
With a turnover approaching £60 million, Lindab is a leading supplier of flexible and spiral ductwork and components, with state-of-the-art production facilities in both Britain and Sweden.
