SES has previously been involved with Darlington Education Village with design and installation works two years ago, a job that won operational project with the best design category at the Public Private Finance Awards in 2007.
Steve Joyce, SES operations director for the north east says, ‘We are delighted to be back at Darlington Education Village, but this time as an enterprise partner. We feel they have put in place the right processes and staff to help local businesses integrate with students. This allows SES to identify the right young people, for the right jobs, at the right time.
‘Equally, it helps students make informed choices prior to sitting their final examination. We believe in “growing our own” apprentices, and it is our social and corporate responsibility to recruit in the vicinity, and give something back to the local area that has played a key part in helping SES grow as a business.
