High achievers from schools across the north west of England were tasked with a mix of activities to provide a genuine flavour of building-services engineering. They included quizzes, computer-aided design, a visit to a large building-services plant and control room and time spent completing the SummitSkills ‘Summit holiday village’ interactive game.
Local MP Claire Curtis-Thomas (right in picture) gave inspirational advice at the one-day event at Liverpool John Moores University and was joined by several female sector ambassadors championing their roles and routes to employment.
