Lighting control provides office flexibility

Luxmate
The capability of providing lighting to match activities in an area and respond to changing layouts is provided by Luxmate’s Flexis lighting control system.
The growing need for flexibility in office lighting, especially in response to changing layouts, is addressed by Luxmate’s Flexis lighting-management system. Flexis acknowledges the task-area concept promoted through BS EN 12464. Rather than delivering a uniform lighting design across the space, Flexis allows rooms to be subdivided into areas and zones, each with its own preset lighting regime controlled through DALI-addressable luminaires. The system can also incorporate emergency-lighting systems, bringing all a building’s lighting together through a single software interface. A maintenance feature compensates for reduced lighting output as luminaires age. Maintenance cycles can thus be extended, further reducing costs. Such control capabilities are well suited to speculative developments where the requirements of tenants are not known in advance.
