The heat-pump route to the Code for Sustainable Homes

Mitsubishi Electric’s Ecodan air-source heat pumps are said to reduce emissions compared with modern gas boilers by up to 50% and lower running costs by about 30%. Donald Daw, commercial director, explains, ‘We have designed Ecodan to address the need for low-carbon, mass-market home heating. The heat-pump system can be fitted by a qualified plumber.
