Radiant heating panels save energy

MHS Radiator

MHS Radiators’ new range of radiant ceiling panels integrate with T-bar suspended ceilings and are said to make possible significant reductions in energy consumption by enabling air temperature to be typically 3 K lower than an equivalent convective air system.

Merlin radiant ceiling panels have an output of up to 600 W/m2, depending on operating conditions, and are available in five modular lengths from 600 to 3000 mm. They are made from 2.5 mm-thick smooth-faced powder-coated aluminium with return edges for additional strength.

15 mm copper tube is secured to the rear of these panels with heat-sink pipe saddles. 15 mm flow and return connections are provided at one end of each panel. Insulation is provided by 25 mm Celotex foil-backed rigid board insulation with vertical (standard) or horizontal connections available.
