Daikin doubles shifts at Ostend factory

In response to recent positive signs in the European heating and air-conditioning market, Daikin Europe has taken on 200 temporary staff to boost production at its main factory in Ostend, Belgium. Most of the production lines are switching from a single day shift to a 2-shift operating system.

Sales during the summer for Daikin Europe gave positive signals, following the launch of the Altherma HT air-to-water heat-pump system and the acquisition of a number of key VRV projects.
