LED lamp directly replaces T8 fluorescent tubes
Published: May 2010
Osram has developed a way to replace T8 36 W fluorescent lamps and control gear with LED technology. T8 Substitute externally resembles a fluorescent tube and can be installed without any changes to the luminaire — except replacing the starter — and achieve energy savings up to 50%. T8 Substitute lamps have an operating life of up to 50 000 h and achieve illumination that is comparable to that of reflector luminaires. These lamps do not contain any mercury, so they are compliant with RoHS. For more information on this story, click here: May 10, 86 Related articles: |
