The £14 million redevelopment of the private members’ sport and leisure club has seen the existing East Wing, which was partially destroyed in the Second World War, entirely reconstructed to provide 4600 m2 of new function and entertainment facilities. The project involved the construction of new ballrooms, dining areas, a kitchen and servery for up to 800 members and their guests, together with a theatre, sports pavilion and administrative offices.
Principal contractor was the Gleeson Group’s southern construction division.
