Ormandy supplies hot water for Ugandan Government

Ormandy, DHW
The hot-water needs of the State House in Uganda are met by a solution supplied by Ormandy Electric.

Domestic hot water for the State House in Uganda, home of President Yoweri Museveni, is provided by a storage system from Ormandy Electric. One of two official residences for Uganda’s head of state, the house is in Nakasero, Kampala. With the president’s family and many Government officials using the building, 6000 l of hot water needs to be available at any one time.

The hot-water solution is based on two stainless-steel storage cylinders from the Dimplex 2000 range, suitable for direct electric, indirect and solar heating. There are two cylinders, each with two immersion heaters rated at 36 kW each. Control is by Ormandy Electric SCP30/4 contactor panels, ensuring economical use of electricity.
