Team Honeywell races ahead in FunCup

Honeywell

Team Honeywell is enjoying success in the 2011 FunCup championship with wins at the Croft and Snetterton circuits. FunCup is an endurance race where teams have to continually complete circuits over three, four, six, eight and 25 hours for multiple drivers, with five mandatory pit stops. Team Honeywell’s car is driven by Neil Plimmer.

He says, ‘The race for the championship is getting exciting now, and the next race in Anglesey will be a crucial one as a win will give us a good lead in points.’

The cars are all identically space-framed chassis with a 130 bhp VW Golf engine or the more environmentally friendly and faster 170 bhp Audi A3 diesel engine, race brakes, 5-speed gearbox and fully adjustable race suspension.

The series will visit Brands Hatch in August and Oulton Park in November before it heads to Italy in November for the ‘World cup’ finals.
