Daikin’s awesome success in corporate regatta

Four intrepid oarsmen from Daikin Airconditioning, 360 Engineering and Eventemp (Midlands) and cox Hazel Shackleton, of Daikin, won the men’s 500 m sprint in the recent corporate regatta organised by 4-times Olympic gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent. The event was held at Dormey Lake near Windsor and gave competitors from companies in the south east first-hand knowledge of the training and teamwork required to succeed at this exhausting sport. The event was open to mixed teams with no previous experience. New procurement rules mean NHS suppliers will need to demonstrate their green credentials so the NHS can achieve its target of becoming net zero for directly-controlled emissions by 2040, with an ambition to reach an 80% reduction in its carbon emissions between 2028 to 2032.
